I’ve been working on this Ursula embroidery piece during holiday break to keep busy (along with a few internship applications). Today I stitched on the LED ribbon. Next step is to find a strong enough frame and figure out how to mount my necklace onto it in a way that doesn't keep it there permanently! I use the necklace for my Ursula cosplay.
I used Adafruit's LED ring, microphone, and sewable circuit board for the necklace. I bought the shell on shapeways and painted it. Then I set up the circuit and put the components inside the shell so that it will light up when someone sings. That way, the user can steal their voice ;-)
