Fall semester 2020, we were informed that our classes would be entirely online. I was so worried because I finally signed up for the metalworking class I'd been wanting to take for years! Because the class was online, only 4 people signed up so it got canceled. I didn't want to go down without a fight so I asked Brian Olson, the professor, if he would still be willing to teach me if I took the class through independent study. Luckily, he agreed and I had such an amazing time learning from him! For my final project, I designed and welded my own lightsaber out of spare steel parts. I can't to weld more projects!
